Yuri was the former National Director of Strategic Diversity for U.S. Cellular. She designed and developed the strategic inclusion plan for the entire U.S. Cellular corporation with the intent of defining the business imperative, measures and customer experience.

She has over 17 years of combined experience in business consulting, sales, corporate recruiting/staffing and project management. She was Director of Consulting Services for Hudson Inclusion Solutions a division of Hudson Highland Group, a 4,000 person global executive search and human capital consulting firm where she was responsible for the leadership, design and development of Hudson’s diversity consulting service practice. Yuri lead and managed consulting engagements with sales targets in excess of $4M each.

While at Abbot Laboratories and Merck Pharmaceuticals, Yuri managed client relationships and business development goals upwards of $3M in annual sales. As a HR professional she was Regional Recruiting Manager across multiple locations for both Blue Cross of California and Ernst & Young Consulting. Yuri and her team were responsible for the design, implementation, metrics development and competitive analysis. Additionally, as a Director of Finance, she implemented Six Sigma driven, multi-million dollar business process redesign, supplier diversity and organizational restructuring savings initiatives for CNA Insurance. She is a certified green belt in Six Sigma.

Yuri earned her B.S. degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. She attended Oxford University for advanced work in Economics .

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I graduated from Howard University in 1984, University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1988, Yale University, Psychiatry in 1992 and Case Western Reserve, Forensic Psychiatry in 1993. I have been living in Boston for the last 15 years because I vowed to stay wherever I landed after I completed my medical training. I have lived in Boston longer than I have lived anywhere, and now call it home.

I am deeply committed to the availability of high quality mental health care within the inner city and the reduction of the stigma associated with its access.

My primary practice is within Harvard University Health Services where I care for all members of the Harvard community. My secondary practice is in inner city Boston where I split my time between two clinics. Both of my clinics are in Roxbury and involve the care of siblings, mothers, aunts, uncles, grandmothers and children (over the age of 18). In Roxbury, I care for a very different community, one that consists of families and neighbors.

I have a wonderful 10 year old son who teaches me things I thought I learned long ago. I am blessed to be his mother and student.

I consider myself an innovative leader adept at building teams with the ability to think creatively and design profitable organizational and procedural changes. A keen understanding of customer needs and optimal work environment helps to ensure maximum performance from all.
