Spectral Remote Sensing Subject Matter Expert The individual will work in a team environment with other multidisciplinary remote sensing scientists and engineers supporting data analysts. The SME will provide scientific analysis and products from the exploitation of multispectral and hyperspectral data from multiple sources for the customer, who will leverage the value-added support to sharpen their assessments of current issues. The individual will use their knowledge of MSI and HSI phenomenology to accurately exploit data and disseminate reporting. The individual will use current TPED processes to task, process, exploit, and distribute data as well as design new TPED processes for future sensors. The individual shall provide results to the customer in the requested format and content such as web dissemination, databases, or direct reporting to analysts and management. Occasionally the individual will need to provide ad-hoc informational briefings for the purpose of education for analysts and managers as to the capabilities of Spectral data and their benefits. The SME will support and participate in community exploitation and technology forums on a limited ad-hoc basis. This sometimes requires presentation of technical information or case studies resulting from operational support requests. This will also include monitoring the community and industry for new near-term technologies that can be inserted for operational use.
