Role Summary/Purpose:
The Lead Systems Engineer will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and control of IT asset measure. In this role, you will manage activities with IT groups and outsourcers to ensure controllership. You will also lead the asset management group in developing processes to control annual budget, sourcing, and expense controls.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for ensuring accuracy and control of IT asset measures
  • Coordinate activities with IT groups and outsourcers to ensure controllership related to minimizing asset costs, minimizing maintenance costs, and ensuring currency goals are met and maintained
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of Distributed Computing annual budget, sourcing, and expense control
  • Lead Asset Management Group to develop and maintain appropriate processes to control annual budget, sourcing, and expense controls
  • Accountable for ensuring Distributed Computing production SLA's are maximized and maintained at, at least, minimum levels, continually
  • Work with internal support managers, service delivery managers, and outsourcers to develop and maintain comprehensive measures, dashboards, etc
  • Act as "Messaging Leader" for GE Capital Retail Finance HQ. Coordinate all activities with GE Capital Retail Finance HQ, users, corporate messaging personnel, etc. to maintain SLA's and ensure system availability to GE Capital Retail Finance employees
  • Lead Distributed Computing BPMS efforts to ensure adequate processes are in place, measured, and continuously adjusted for continuous process improvement
  • Various other duties as assigned
    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • 2 years experience in Asset Management in a technology
  • 2 years experience in maintaining production systems in a large computing environment

  • Understanding of technical architecture and strategies of GE Capital Retail Finance systems and various business functions, in order to provide quality solutions
  • Ability to analyze, use structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot highly complex systems in a crisis environment, ID root cause, action plans, impact and resolution options
  • Six Sigma or equivalent quality methodology training (e.g. GB certification min.)
  • Graduate degree in related field
  • Six Sigma Certification exceeding Green Belt level
  • Previous GE or GE Capital Retail Finance experience
