Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Strategic Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for the development and execution of revenue generating, multi-platform integrated marketing opportunities for potential and existing clients in support of USA network's sales goals. In this role, the Manager will report into the two Directors and supervise/oversee the Coordinator. The manager will contribute to the creation of a positive working environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop multi-platform marketing opportunities that meet client objectives and fit the USA Network brand positioning
  • Interface with internal departments (Ad Sales, Production, Research, Programming, Press, Digital, On-Air Marketing) in order to secure requisite input/approvals for marketing opportunities
  • Work with the creative team, on-air marketing group to develop creative sales solutions and ensure that all sales commitments are fulfilled accurately, on-time and meet both the client and USA's brand criteria
  • Write proposals and presentations outlining multi-platform marketing opportunities and production costs approved by respective departments
  • Work both independently and with Directors on the overall day-to-day client relationships
  • Manage overall execution of programs while continuing to build and maintain the relationship between USA and marketing partners. Includes: execution materials, script development and approval, attending shoots, prize logistics/ fulfillment. Provide regular updates to Director(s).
  • Attend and play an integral role in all day-to-day marketing communications with clients
  • Attend select client meetings and participate through needs analysis, presentation and provide meeting notes/recap to attendees
  • Assist the Director during peek times of the year in the development and execution the Upfront, Communication and Trade strategies
  • Manage and maintain marketing execution budgets
  • Act as Event point on Industry Trade Shows/Conferences and work with the Director to develop USA's action plan for the event
  • Continuously identify and evaluate key marketplace trends and share with the team
  • Manage and develop Coordinator who will execute the "day to day" marketing operations and execution details
  • Oversee Scoop (WWE and USA) management
    Qualifications/Requirements:
    Basic Qualification:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 5 years experience at a television network, ad agency or a large promotional firm
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
