Job Description
Title: Operations Training Instructor Location: WI-Two Rivers Responsible for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of training to Point Beach Nuclear Plant operators and Shift Technical Advisors (STA). Delivers training in a variety of settings with other instructors and groups in accordance with the accredited training processes and all applicable codes and regulations. Evaluates trainee performance on-the-job and in the simulator when applicable and implements the SAT process for the Operations training programs. May include initial and continuing training for all Operations personnel. Additional responsibilities include training program maintenance, CAP management, support of the Operations groups day-to-day activities, development and delivery of evaluations and Simulator Booth Operations. Produces, maintains and delivers accredited performance-based training. Work Schedule: The implementation of training requires flexibility in work schedule. Some shift work and weekends are required. Instructors provide organizational support during outages and for specifically assigned projects in addition to their routine duties as trainers. This is a union position represented by IBEW 2150 Position Requires: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in nuclear plant operations and one year training experience. Navy nuclear power experience as an instructor may be substituted for commercial experience. Successful completion of the Instructor Certification program and participation in instructor continuing training. The acquisition and maintenance of an SRO certification is required. Demonstrated ability to interface well with people, communicate effectively and express ideas clearly, concisely, and accurately both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively present training material to various class sizes with varied entry-level knowledge. Solid organizational and administrative skills self-motivated, and ability work independently and in teams with minimal supervision. Capable of exercising multi-disciplined training abilities to provide training to a variety of other specialties.
