* Secure voice system supporting the day-to-day secure and non-secure voice needs of the highest levels of command and control communications for the DoD and Federal government.
* UHF radios, intel terminals, and RF products for military communications systems
* Security data solutions to US government organizations that have a high need for information integrity and network protection.
* US Navy's Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) and Zumwalt class destroyer situation awareness.
* Homeland Security programs that provide border and infrastructure protection
Job Description:
This individual will support the installation and integration of Raytheon Switching Systems being installed worldwide. This includes setup and test of equipment in Raytheon labs, performing surveys at customer locations, defining and documenting customer requirements, authoring site survey reports and detailed site installation plans. The individual will perform installation/integration at customer sites, generate as-built drawing packages, and author field service bulletins. The candidate must read and interpret Statements of Work, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plans for the location and installation of equipment and wiring. The individual will assist in the identification and procurement of material. The candidate will also support the development of new business through generation of cost proposals and bills of material. The individual must be capable of interfacing directly with customers while on-site in a professional and clear manner. This position is based out of Raytheon's Bardmoor - Largo, FL location, and at times requires significant national and international travel on short notice.
Required Skills:
1) Knowledge and experience (minimum of 6 years) with the DRSN (Defense Red Switch Network), with understanding of various cryptographic equipment and the ability to interface to such equipment.
2) Knowledge and experience (minimum of 4 years) with Raytheon switching system products (SDS, RSU, DSS-2, DSS-2A and peripherals).
3) Several years of direct operation and maintenance experience with Raytheon switching system products (SDS, RSU and peripheral).
4) Experience with survey, planning and accomplishing on site installation/integration of digital switches and associated peripheral equipment.
5) Adaptable and flexible, with demonstrated on-site customer interface and communication skills. Able to interface/communicate with customers with no supervision.
6) Read and interpret Statements of Work, Blueprints, Wiring Diagrams, and Floor Plans for the location and installation of equipment and wiring.
7) Identify associated equipment power and cooling requirements.
8) Understanding of OSHA safety requirements.
9) Proficient in the use of various types of diagnostic test equipment (i.e. Digital Volt Meter, Digital Oscilloscope, Firebird 6000 or equivalent).
10) Proficient in the use of various electric powered, hydraulic, and hand tools.
11) Active Secret security clearance
12) Travel Requirements will vary with customer needs and at times will require significant national and international travel on short notice. At other times travel will be limited, with work being performed out of the Bardmoor - Largo facility.
Desired Skills:
1) Knowledge and experience with digital switch database setup, checkout, debug.
2) Knowledge and experience performing Software/Firmware upgrades.
3) Knowledge and experience performing acceptance testing with Quality Assurance and the end customer.
4) Knowledge and experience with Solaris and Linux Operating Systems
5) Knowledge and experience working with Promina Network.
6) Understanding of TEMPEST requirements as it pertains to the installation of Red/Black communications equipment.
7) Proficient in soldering, crimping (e.g., Stuart Stamping, Blue Daniels), and conduit bending.
8) Experience as a Training Instructor for DRSN / Raytheon switching systems equipment
9) Active US Passport or ability to obtain.
10) Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access, or ability to obtain.

Associates Degree in related technical field preferred, however will accept related technical field communications systems installation/maintenance experience in lieu of degree.
