Job Description:
Under limited supervision, perform statement analysis and prepare thorough and objective loan presentations, particularly those that are complex or high dollar borrowers. This will include both existing and new relationships. Ensure compliance with loan policies and bank regulations. Assist in devising and implementing strategies on existing loans and problem loans to meet Associated Bank's credit standards and to minimize loss potential. Provide guidance of best practices for risk management through loan structuring and loan monitoring suggestions.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Analyze credit worthiness of prospective and existing borrowers, including complex credit situations by providing thorough and objective analysis to assist lenders in determining loan eligibility. Complex credit situations will include substandard and troubled credits. Identify credit risks and suggest means of minimizing credit risks. Identify deviations from loan policy and underwriting standards. Both should be mitigated in the credit presentation.
2. Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established Associated Banc-Corp credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
3. Prepare credit presentations for both existing and prospective borrowers to assist in the underwriting process. Determine the borrowers' repayment ability as well as the Bank's collateral position. Suggest an asset quality rating based on relationship review. Compile an accurate relationship profitability analysis, as directed by corporate policy.
4. Coordinate/prepare various monthly and quarterly reports such as past due, loan diversification, etc., which represent the loan activity of the bank.
5. Attend loan committee meetings and record meeting minutes. Provide committee(s) with pertinent credit related information, including preparation of such information. In some instances, the Credit Analyst III will present credits for approval to officer or Executive Loan Committee in the lenders absence.
6. Periodically accompany Private or Business Bankers on customer calls to enhance the quality of credit presentations.
7. Assists with the administrative and review systems and procedures to protect the quality of the loan portfolio, which impacts profitability. This includes interacting with external lending and credit relationships, i.e., Baker Hill, Regional Advisory Board of Directors, Regulators, and Dun & Bradstreet.
8. Maintain an awareness of economic, financial and industrial trends as well as competitive area factors. This includes the development and/or enhancement of a reference library and sources to assist assessing economic risk of commercial loan customers and, if applicable, the development of other analysts' abilities and developmental goals.
9. Assist lender with portfolio management duties, which may include delivering documents for assisting with loan closings, meeting directly with customers to review financial performance, or attending bank group meetings in place of the relationship manager.

10. Provide training for credit department personnel as needed as it relates to the Lending Policy, procedures, regulatory issues, and computer use.
11. Team lead overseeing junior analysts & interns within department.
12. Provide support to the Business Bankers and assist the Credit Manager/Supervisor with special projects and assignments when necessary.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
Minimum Experience: 5-7 years previous experience processing complex commercial credit, lending or related experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
