Title: Simulator Test Engineering Analyst Location: WI-Two Rivers The Simulator Test Engineer reports to the Training Support Supervisor and is responsible for verifying the fidelity of the PBNP Control Room Simulator by conducting tests and inspections. The Simulator Test Engineer ensures that the performance testing of the simulator is scheduled, executed, analyzed, and documented in accordance with ANSI/ANS-3.5-1985.
The Simulator Test Engineer writes and executes acceptance tests for new software and conducts post-modification validation testing, ensuring that the testing is appropriate and the results are satisfactory. The Test Engineer works with other departments as necessary to analyze and characterize results to determine that the highest achievable fidelity and functionality has been reached. The Simulator Test Engineer also creates and maintains the simulator initial conditions required by ANSI/ANS-3.5-1985 and PBNP Simulator procedures.
The successful candidate will interface with operations training instructors, operators, and the other members of the simulator staff in the day-to-day operation of the simulator. These duties will include analyzing Simulator Action Request for validity and developing test procedures for changes made to the simulator.
The successful candidate will also be required to understand and communicate the simulator's limitations and performance characteristics to the instructor staff. This person will be knowledgeable both in the operation of the plant, and in the operation of the simulator, so as such will be a valuable resource to operations instructors in developing and validating scenarios.
This position is currently represented by Local 2150 IBEW. * The successful candidate will be conversant with the structure and functioning of plant systems, operating procedures and administrative procedures as they pertain to Control Room operations. * A current or previous Westinghouse PWR SRO license or Certification required. * Education: Engineering Degree or equivalent technical degree preferred but not required.
